Goal - a crystal clear watch with no apparent mechanism

 

Description

 

  • Crystal clear watch face, transparent 
  • No visual mechanism, winding, or power source
  • Clear watch band


Core Architecture
 

  • Dual-Disk Dial: The watch face utilises two sandwiched, optically clear disks to suspend the hands without a central post.
     

  • Peripheral Drive: Hands are driven by micro-magnetic couplers hidden within a mirrored outer bezel, keeping the centre completely transparent.
     

Power & Intelligence
 

  • Kinetic Induction: A free-rolling copper ball passes over an array of micro-coils embedded in the rim, generating power from natural wrist movement.
     

  • Invisible Circuitry: The control chip and components are decentralised and distributed entirely around the perimeter of the frame (much like the SR08 Ring)
     

  • Transparent Conduction: Power is routed invisibly across the crystal faces using microscopic Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) traces.
